Send Personalised Save the Date e-cards to your guests You will probably send out wedding invitation, either traditional paper invites or the ultra-new e-wedding invitations. But is you really want to make sure that your guests keep your wedding date open you should send them save-the-date cards. This can be done up to six months before your wedding invitations go out ... really at that stage when you still have only a date and no further finalised detail. (note: wedding invites usually go out at six weeks before the wedding date ... often far too late if your date falls on the popular long weekends, holiday season or Christmas) One of the easiest effective ways to do this is e-mailing Save the Date e-cards It is also the ideal opportunity to inform guests of your wedding website ... where you can keep them up to date with further developments until your wedding invitations are ready. Use your Save-the-Date card as a reminder by sending them out again about two weeks before your wedding ... either to those who have not yet sent RSVPs and/or to remind them of your website and/or if you want them to supply info like their main dish choice on your RSVP form on your website.
