How do we add photos to our personal wedding website? You’ll find the instructions and tutorial on your website but here it is again. Note! The list of steps looks terribly long because we’ve explained it very simply. Actually it is very easy, and quick too. Get your photos ready for your website
Download the photos to your websiteUpload the photos where you want themFriends e-mailed us some photos. How do we get that onto our website / album? Simply store their photos in the picture section of your computer, and follow the steps above. We’ve got photos on a memory stick. How do we get that onto our website?Again, save the photos in the picture section of your computer, and follow the steps above We’ve got nice visuals of our venue / map on the Internet. How do we store Internet photos on our website?Much depends on the programming of the other website. You may be able to download some photos; others cannot be downloaded. If you can download you have two options: But note if you follow the second route, the lay-out associated with the pic may interfere with your page lay-out, which can be a bother. Try this route, and if you have hassles, simply undo it, and then try the first option. How many photos can we have on our website? As many as you like! Remember to keep them less than 1 MB. This size is absolutely sufficient (and in fact much more than sufficient) for excellent web images. We have some real ‘hard copy’ photos. How do we get them on our website?Try scanning them in and saving them in your computer photo file, and follow the steps as set out at the beginning of this section or Use your digital camera and take a pic of the pic, which can be loaded onto your computer and onto your website. Can we download photos from my cell phone (mobile) ?Not too sure, but we can’t think why not. It may depend on your phone’s technology. But if it takes a USB cable you can get it onto your computer, and then you will get it onto your website How do people write into our guest book? They go to your guestbook page and choose on the menu the page ‘write your messages here’ A message form will pop up, and they can write their message This then gets sent to the e-mail address you provided when you signed up. How do we get it on our website? To keep you safe from prankster messages they don’t go directly onto your website. You get to put it there. This means you can choose messages for your message book. Log on with your username and password, choose ‘change content’ on your private pop-up menu and choose the guestbook page by clicking on the yellow pencil icon. You are now ready to add the message: go to your e-mail, open the message and select the text (only the bit you want to have on your website). Now go to your guest book page and click on the insert text icon (it is the computer screen icon with a W across it, in the top row, towards the middle). The message will op onto your page You can now change its appearance. You may like all your messages in the same font, size and colour. Or you may want to distinguish them by using different lay-outs for each. Simply use the icons for it. How does the RSVP’s work? The rsvp’s work the same as the guestbook: your guests go to your rsvp page. A form will pop-up, which they then complete. They have to fill in their names. This means you have a check on who replied (also nice to have the spellings of the names when you compile your table list) and can ignore prankster rsvps. Their response is then sent to the e-mail address you provided when signing up. Note On your private menu is a page for ‘rsvps and guest list’, where you can list responses. Is prankster messages and rsvp’s common? No, not at all. Remember, you decide who knows about your wedding website. We certainly don’t share your website address with anyone. But in the very unlikely event that uninvited acquaintances reply or total unknowns who happen onto your pages answer, you are still in control and can weed out their responses. Note: This is why we value privacy on the Internet. Our basic privacy option is really quite inexpensive (R100 South African rands) and does protect you. |
