What is on a personal wedding website?

You get more than twenty categories, with unlimited space on each page. Your website is divided in three main sections:

Your story This is the romantic section: it is about you, how you met and fell in love, your engagement, your wedding plans, etc.

Essential for your guests This is the section where you provide all the information or guests need to know – your ceremony and reception venues and times, parking, accommodation, directions, who is organizing the bachelorette / satin&silk party, your gift registry, etc. You also have an rsvp-page where guests rsvp directly on-line, which is extremely convenient for them and you.

Memoirs This is for your convenience: your Diary and Notes (which is in the private section of your website, so you can really let it all out because nobody without your personal code can enter this section!)

Your guestbook and photo-albums are also part of this section – great fun! These pages are not private – your guests will want to see you, after all!

What to write on our wedding website?

Everything you want to remember … or need to remember. Everything that is important for your wedding and for your guests. Everything you need to note down … the big events and the small details. Do add the pics of the pre-wedding events, the sms’s you will be getting. It is not as if you’ll run out of space!

Can we run out of space?

No, absolutely not. We rent enough space for all our clients!

Yes – and whenever you want, at no extra cost at all. OurWeddingPage.co.za allows you to combine any front with any template, giving you one of the largest (and we believe most beautiful!) ranges of designs available.

Go tou your homepage and sign in. A menu will pop up, allowing you to choose a different template and/or front.

Another nice option is choosing ‘no front’. You then load your homepage photo, which allows you a much bigger pic which is still beautifully framed by the template.

Will we need to reload text and photo’s if we change our look? No, template and homepage changes does not affect your text and photo’s at all.

We’ve loaded a photo onto our front page but it does not work well. How do we get a different photo on our homepage?

This is quite easy – simply go to your website, sign in and choose on the pop-up menu ‘load front page photo’s … and load your new choice.

Photo’s are usually loaded within a minute. But on some machines photo’s sometimes get ‘cached’. This has to do with your browser and/or computer settings. This means that the image is ‘stored’ and loaded only after a while. So be patient: if OurWeddingPage indicated that the photo has been loaded … it has been loaded and will appear shortly.

And don’t worry that if your photo gets cached that it will always take that long to see it. This happens only the very first time when you upload the photo. Once it is there it will always open up quickly.

How do we choose a photo for our wedding website front page?

If you choose anyone of the inner frames you need to have two photos available: a horizontal (landscape) and a vertical (portrait) photo.

If you choose not to have an inner frame you can upload any photo. The theme will then naturally frame you photo.

We’ve noticed the following:

We have some naughty photo’s – too naughty to share with everyone. Can we hide them on our website?

Really?! Yes, you can hide personal photo’s that you wish to keep private. Remember your pages for Notes and Diary? These page only pop-up if you sign up with your username and password. This means that only people with these access codes can see them. These photo’s will then be only for the eyes of those you choose to share your access codes. You can upload photos on any page – just let your cursor move over the symbols that appears on the top of the page till you find the one for pics, and use it to load pics. BUT please note that we are opposed to pornography. Naughty but nice is OK but sites with pornography will be discontinued with immediate effect.
